Arborsculpture, a branch of arboriculture is specifically involved with the shaping of tree trunks and branches into amazing structures, which have either ornamental or functional utility. Enjoy the tour through the amazing world of some famous ‘living’ furniture and designs collected from across the world.

Basic techniques involve Pruning, grafting and bending single or multiple trees into shapes are involved in the state-of-the-art technique. The arts created grow thicker and stronger as the tree adds annual rings. The closest related practice is espalier.

This practice dates back to 1911 when John Krubsack grew a chair in Wisconsin, but has been coined only in the 1990s for unifying the field.

that is truly amazing. especially the toilet roll holder. but the chair doesn’t look like it’d be sturdy enough to sit in. or very comfortable.
The lattice is breathtaking.
these trees look great, the question is : are they naturally like this or are they man-made?i guess they are man made, anyway it was really hard to make them look like this so congratulations.
I love the outdoor tree sculptures. How do they get them to grow that way!?!
looks great ... somehow , i can’t help thinking ... it hurts the trees , isn’t it ? it’s unnatural to make them grow like that
cool and awesome ;)
Actually, little known fact, Moyeen:
Trees don’t feel pain. They never did and never will. They have no brains, no nerves, no pain receptors. So don’t worry your head about that.
Also, Kim, of course most (if not all) of these are do not naturally grow in perfect lattice or chair shape.
