Here is the deal with most modern cargo carriers or scooters that are supposed to carry the cargo. They are just plain old ordinary two-wheelers that have a medium-sized box attached behind or on the side so that it can assume the shape of a cargo carrier. While there are specific cargo carriers that give ample space for the cargo, they are designed to just commute in a very limited radius like an airport or a mall. It seems that with the majority of scooters that we call as cargo carriers, we are enjoying a luxury of ample space. But here is something with a difference.
This cargo carrier has been custom-crafted with the interests of the cargo at heart... rather in a hole. This scooter has a giant hole in its center and is ideal for carrying large cargo across modern cities. This scooter is a concept design that has been crafted for the German cargo giant DHL, and hopefully we will see it materialize into something substantial very soon. This new design could just use an electric engine leading to transportation with zero-emissions, which would prove to be an absolute boon for the planet.
With large SUVs and other oil-guzzling vehicles being largely used for transporting cargo, such a simple and effective alternative would both cut costs and increase efficiency of the cargo industry. By leaving no emissions and by providing a green yet impressive alternative, the design surely stands out from the flock.

Fantastic design. Superb. Courier guys will line up for this. May be add some horizontal rods so the cargo won’t slip out.
Horizontal rods might be too much a rigid thing, but maybe a few straps across is not really a bad idea. Maybe, the designer will take a cue from you and add something better to it :) The design though is cool as it is so simple yet so effective.
