First things first, what kind of a stupid name is Domodity? It is like a ‘Dumb Commodity’. Why would anyone want to name their product like that? So I’m guessing that my explanation is surely wrong and there is a fine reason for the name. But I will not ponder any longer on it as it might distract you away from the true merits of this green water saving system.
Many homes across the planet have gardens that are beautifully taken car of and if we do not have them, how can we have those long wonderful evening among the green. (And not to mention that few clips in ‘Desperate Housewives’). It is no longer just a cool thing to have your own garden, but also you need to understand and manage the water resources for it in a wise fashion. With fresh water becoming a scarce commodity with each passing day, it becomes essential that we save water.
We talked about numerous green water systems earlier and Domodity helps you save 50% of your water usage without that hassle. The system consists of a station evapotranspiration whose function is to continuously measure various parameters of weather such as rain, sunshine, wind, humidity and other features in addition to the soil and type of flora that your garden possesses. This way, you can determine how much water and moisture is needed and when it is fit to garden.
The intelligent system will function independently and in a daft way after a few days even without your intervention. Once it gets to know about your garden in detail, you will not have to ever worry about missing the schedule. Domodity is surely a wonderful green gadget that saves water, but it sure could use a better name!

Hello! Thanks for the post. Is the first time that i have found a post in a blog about us outside Spain.
I’m Jordi Muñoz, from Domodity company. I see your comment about the name Domodity :-)... I understand that is different for the english speaking people...
The name Domodity is a ”word game”: ”Domo” from the spanish word ”Domotica” (word used to name ”smart houses”) and ”Dity” from Commodity in english. In Spain sounds goodt :-).
About the irrigation system, is a very intesreting and useful thing. Now in Barcelona (Spain) we have a big problem because dont raing from some months ago and we need save water.
Thanks again for the post.
Thank you Jordi for that detailed explanation and appreciate it a lot. I knew there was some logical Spanish explanation and I didn’t get it. I think I do need to learn Spanish and German and I’m trying a bit of French too. But it will take ages I think.
Yes, water management is a very important field we are covering and hope some showers hit your place this time around. We have covered many green structures from Madrid earlier and will continue to do so. If your company has something new and green in future, just give us a word and we will check it out.
