Eco Factor: Eco-friendly nightclub hosts a multitude of sustainable features.
New York City has finally got its first eco-friendly night club – The Greenhouse. According to its name, the night club hosts many green features to lure eco-activists to come and have a ball. The 6,000-square-foot club is the first club in NYC to apply for LEED certification, which might be sanctioned considering the eco responsible features it carries.
The club is entirely lit by LED lights and all the electricity consumed by the club comes from wind turbines. The washrooms are fitted with waterless urinals. To ensure a natural ambiance in the club, it is adorned with bamboo walls and several varieties of actual leaves.
The Dark Side:
Nightclubs generally dispose a huge amount of un-recyclable stuff, so if proper waste disposal methods are not undertaken by the club, it could lose its green status in no time.

I went to the club and though Im impressed by it’s green status and construction, and will be going back, how can it possibly be earth friendly when people were smoking cigarettes inside the club and there is no doubt a huge amount of garbage at the end of the night. But its fun!
