Eco Factor: CAKE sixth album to be recorded on solar energy.
CAKE have announced that their sixth album, which is currently being recorded, will be written, rehearsed and recorded entirely with solar power. These artists have installed a solar array on the roof of their studio in Sacramento, California.
The solar array was installed by Borrego Solar, which gives CAKE a chance to break away from the city’s energy grid and rely on the abundant energy of the sun. Working on a new album, CAKE claims that they “feel satisfaction in the common denominator of together embracing the unlimited resource of the sun.”
