Eco Factor: Concept yacht designed to be powered by a magnetically levitated wind turbine.
Lila-Lou has unveiled the designs of their latest Ankida sailing yacht that will be powered by wind. The concept is cradled within the bow-like arrangement, which allows the forces generated by the rig to propel the yacht efficiently. Similar to the bow arrangement, the sail is also designed to allow for the greatest surface area coverage and optimal positioning in relation to wind direction.

The yacht also features a magnetically levitated wind turbine that supplies power for the operation and general services, which makes the Ankida a truly wind-powered vessel. The superyacht is automated with the use of sophisticated software for weather, navigation and operation. The state-of-the-art systems will set the best sail configuration according to the conditions or according to the needs of the owner.
The yacht’s spinnaker is also automatically furled and unfurled into a box below the wind turbine. The designers believe that the automated sail arrangement looks unconventional, but it can be configured in virtually any wind conditions to offer maximum efficiency.

How by any stretch of the imagination can a toy of this size and weight be described as ”green”. This is utter hypocrisy. What has happened to common sense?

Green isn’t synonymous with anti-materialism.
An expensive ”toy” as you put it for the rich being powered by wind turbines I believe is green porn.
