Eco Factor: Hybrid car comes with roof-mounted solar panels.
Citroen has showcased its REVOLTe hybrid concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which was inspired by the company’s 2CV. The hybrid car designed for three occupants carries a single driver seat at the front and two rear seats, which helps the seats take the form of a contemporary sofa.
Designed to be powered by a hybrid engine, with a small-capacity conventional engine combined with an electric motor and a battery recharging function, the vehicle promises a low-emission drive when both the engines are running simultaneously, and a zero-emission drive when running the car only on the batteries.
The vehicle has been designed with solar panels on its roof, which provide electricity for the on-board comfort systems and reduce the load on the batteries.
