Solar cars can indeed take up pretty strange shapes, but it is quite baffling when someone sees a solar car on road and reports it as a UFO. Marcelo da Luz is on an attempt to set the world distance record for a solar vehicle. He was chased down and stopped by the Alaskan police for questioning after a local person reported it as a UFO sighting. The story is pretty funny for more reasons than one. For starters, we always thought that UFOs flew about and did not exactly use the road. Secondly, the Alaskan police should have surely known what this was while chasing it. Finally, why would an actual alien ever pull over for the police? You would think his vehicle, that got him here from millions of light years away, would have enough pace to beat a patrol car!
Marcelo is attempting to break the current record, which stands at 15,070 km. He has been driving around North America for nearly two years in his attempt. Hopefully people will not cause any further hassles like this one.

This story made me laugh. Illegal alien.. haha. Looking at the positive side. Now we can use solar powered car. Its one of the ways to increase gas mileage. You can use solar at day time and gas at night.
