Eco factor: A system that banks on renewable energy to supply power.
The Solar Stik is a very energy efficient portable gadget, making it a perfect device for cruising or any other home applications. Simply place it in an open space and leave the rest to the powerful panels mounted on top of the stick. The gadget makes sure it maximizes the power production at all times. The entire unit spins at 360 degrees. These panels roughly generate about 80 amps a day, and the mast can also be used as a mounting point for antennas or as a wind generator.
At $5000, the price may seem a little extravagant, but it’s not for the tremendous utilities this gadget possesses. There is no doubt that this one is a revolutionary concept as it works systematically, efficiently and in a hassle free manner.
The Dark side:
The Solar Stik takes up less space, is portable and can be removed easily and used elsewhere, and will provide almost 2x the power output of fixed frame solar panels. The company also claims that its performance during the day is consistent, but its inefficiency during the night is a slight downer.

Solar gadgets are gaining momentum by the day, It is a brilliant idea to incorporate them to our daily items of use, but till the technology doesn’t get cheaper or swankier, acceptability will take time.
The high price is the biggest problem with eco-friendly products. There are reasons for this however, and understanding them may help people to get past the initial sticker shock. Competition pushes prices down, but in the current market there is very little competition between companies producing eco-friendly products.
The larger the quantity of a product produced the lower the price. Currently there is not enough demand in the eco-friendly market for manufacturers to produce at these price-lowering levels. The obvious most important thing is that the processes used to make eco-friendly products often are more costly to the producer.
With the increasing number of eco friendly products I am sure the prices will certainly fall, maybe when I am 50 perhaps :P (I am 21 right now, so you get the picture) I’m a tad cynical but I know this will happen! Most people think they are getting a good deal by choosing the lower priced product today, down the road they may find that those few cents savings cost them the chance of a healthy environment and life in the future.
