Eco Factor: Self-driven concept robot scans streets and shopping centers for trash.

Designed by industrial designer Olga Kalugina, the robot trash harvester, Dubbed Scarab, automates the process of collecting trash from the streets and storing it for safe disposal and recycling. The robot is designed to collect different pieces of scrap from different locations and uses its sweeper-collectors to sweep away trash.

After sweeping, the rubbish is dumped into a built-in tank, which is divided into two compartments for trash of different sizes. While smaller bits and pieces are collected in the small compartment, bigger pieces are handled by manipulators and fall through a hole that is closed with plates.

The collected trash is disposed of automatically and its tank can also be removed for washing. The robot is powered by electricity, and recharging the accumulators is also an automatic process.
