Eco Factor: Wind-powered hand warmer makes your bike ride safe and comfortable.
Often hands get cold riding a bike in chilly weather, which makes riding a bike tough. Industrial designer Chang-won Kim doesn’t want you to park your green ride in your garage during winter. The designer has come up with an equally green concept known as “Glove Warming,” which keeps your hands warm when you’re riding a bike, and it uses wind energy to do so.
The concept makes use of a small wind turbine that converts wind energy into electricity. This electricity is then fed into a system that heats the handlebars, easing your ride. Apart from making your hands warm, the wind turbine carries a reflective tape on the front that guarantees your safe riding because it reflects the light of vehicles at the night.
