Eco Factor: Concept battery equipped with a hand-cranked dynamo.
While most electronic devices available on the market today come with built-in batteries, there are still some devices that need external AA or AAA batteries. Since these batteries don’t come with a system to let the user know about the amount of charge present in them, they can simply stop functioning at anytime.
Industrial designer Jiang Qian is trying to make sure that you never run out of charge, even if you’re away from an electricity socket, by designing a concept battery that is equipped with a hand crank. Cranking the battery turns a miniature dynamo that generates electricity to juice up the battery.
