Eco Factor: Water filter made from 95% recycled materials.
If you live in a developing country where access to drinking water is not that easy, then Z-Pitcher might just be something that you were waiting for all this time. The $40 filter is made from 95% recycled materials and removes nearly everything that you don’t want to have enter your digestive system. The system is based on ZeroWater’s patented five stage water purification process that provides water as clean as purified bottled water.
The Dark Side:
A filter made from recycled materials that also prevents about 2,800 plastic bottles per household annually from getting into landfills is just too good for us to evaluate critically.

My only problem with this technology is the price. I don’t expect people in developing countries would easily shell out that amount.

I think even though this new technology may be out of reach for a lot of developing countries, The advances in water filtration systems are driving the cost of water filtration down all the time. And soon enough people with limited incomes will be able to afford clean, safe drinking water.
