Eco Factor: It’s interesting to know that almost anything under the sun can be recycled to play a completely different role after its original purpose.
While ascending or descending down the elevator, some bloke must have hit upon a brilliant idea of putting the elevator’s cable spool and pulley to a better utility. Up on Etsy for $1,200, the Elevator Bristo Table is designed out of one of the most unique recyclable product. Originally created by a company in Chicago, this cable spool was in service at the Hamilton building in Denver. A ribbed pulley supports the glass top while an acrylic clear coat makes it dust and water proof. So steer it out in open for a small rendezvous.
The Dark Side: It can be tweaked with a recyclable top too instead of the glass one. Also, two such units can be joined to give a double elevator table for a little extra room on the top.

LOL!! This is such a funny idea. I mean, many a times we friends see things and joke about making different use of it, and here is a real product made out of something so unrelated... fantastic!
You know if you ever get a chance to go to Cafe Mocha at Churchgate, don’t miss to see the tables and chairs.. they have ”recycled” them from movie theaters, bought stuff from chor-baazar etc.... after reading some posts, I realized that would also classify as eco-friendly recycling :)
U bet they can boast of housing eco-friendly furniture! I must go there for a cuppa coffee. Just tht its too far off from my house :(
