Eco Factor: Zero-emission fuel cell tractor.
New Holland has finally broken cover of its innovative fuel cell tractor, which by all means is the first in the world. Based on the T6000 tractor, this new NH2 tractor runs on clean hydrogen and oxygen as fuel, thereby promising zero emissions all the way. Electricity is generated by hydrogen, which then powers up the electric motors resting in its wheels.

The fuel cell generates 106hp, which is sent via a splitter to the four wheels. The tractor has no clutch or gearbox and the user has to reverse the power terminals to go into reverse. The electric engine however promises a clean and silent operation. New Holland states that the tractor will not be brought into production for the next five years.

The Dark Side:
New Holland has stated that the tractor needs improvements to cut down the cost. Currently the fuel cell used in the tractor costs a whopping €300,000, which has to be brought down before mass producing.
