Fiat Phylla is the answer to the fuel price crunch. This hydrogen energized trial electric vehicle is also powered with photovoltaic solar cells and was developed by Centro Ricerche Fiat to display the Italian automaker’s latest green-car technologies.
This concept is a forerunner to Fiat’s new Topolino mini car family resulting in a urban car costing ten times lesser than conventional gasoline powered vehicle, revealed by the Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne.

Phylla is synonymous to leaf in ancient Greek and is fully recyclable and is fully solar capable thus doing everything except photosynthesis.

Set up with 15-inch rims wrapped in green-colored tires and ambles to 30 mph in less than 6.0 seconds with an output of 72 horsepower, the vehicle can also speed up to 81 mph. Not just this, the asymmetrical layout offers great visibility. It’s a combination of style with pioneering features.

As per speculations this $19,500 mini car will hit the US market around 2010. Till then this environment friendly automobile is worth a wait.

It is a pretty cool concept. However it might be some time before an ecofriendly car with any real punch (in terms of performance) hits the market.
The only problem with an eco friendly car is that it’s usually high priced. If that aspect gets sorted, these types of cars will any day over take the normal ones.
Very encouraging research
Thank you :)
Yeah, we hope this one will work. There are lots of concept cars we can see but nothing has been good to the market. They got lots of great specs and features and of course, cool designs. Wish this one will be friendly to our tool box and will be a great deal if it’s already introduced.
