Thinking to do your walls this season to complete the look of the house? Vinyl wall coverings are durable enough to go a long way without needing a change but being green and economical is a rare combination.
The Second Look recycled wall coverings is the new kid on the block. All it needs is old vinyl wall covering and the old vinyl wall cover gets a new avatar. The final product is more durable and aesthetically sound vinyl wall cover.
Last year, the Second Look launched its retrieval program where old vinyl covers of any make is accepted and then tested according to environment quality standards. It is then sent to the factory to make a new product.
Reclaimed and recycled vinyl wall coverings contain at least 20% of recycled and a minimum of 10% post consumer recycled content. Thereby, the Second look meets US Green Building Council’s criteria for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). A low VOC wall covering produces lesser emissions than the paint, it uses water based ink and adhesive and even has a high tec feature that allows walls to breathe.
A first of its kind recycled vinyl wall covering in the market, the stylish range is also aimed at high- end applications. The affordable and eco friendly collection Versa, Cirqa, and Plexus contain 48 textural selections to change a boring office or a hospital into timeless beauty.
