Remember the kindergarten rhyme about a teapot... short and stout? Couldn’t stop humming it to myself when I stumbled upon this article of recycled tea sets, over my cuppa tea this morning. It’s been a long since I’ve come across such an unusual recycled product. Product designer Christine Misiak was stirred by Britain’s love of tea and decided to spice it up further by rejuvenating old neglected tea sets. Putting her eco-creative skills to the test, she recycles, restyles and resurfaces cast-off tea sets to render uber elegant tea-time crockery that delicately combines the past with the present.

She realized that too many unwanted tea sets across the region were going to waste, gathering dust in charity shops, flea markets and car boot sales. Breathing new life into them, she began a mission to rejuvenate these “homeless” tea sets.

You know we have one of this old styled tea set at our place and when it was new it looked stunning but now it lies kind of neglected (feeling guilty after reading this post lol). Very good observation by Christine Misiak. There be many such ’piece of art’ that can be restored and sold to tea lovers with taste :)
