Here is another interesting state-of-the-art eco-friendly lighting - the Solar Lampion. Just leave it in the sunlight for the day and forget it. It will do its work - it will store enough electricity to provide you with light for the rest of the time.
The Solar Lampion contains an array of 36 ’standard size’ solar cells. They are held together by an open spaced frame. The stored energy gets released at night in the form of light. Time to forget worrying about your soaring electricity bills.
The Solar Lampion is not only solar-powered, but it is also provided with an LED bulb, connected to the solar cells. This bulb is highly energy efficient. Thanks to Damian O’Sullivan for this creation.

Solar Lampion: Solar powered LED lamp

Comments
Just curious to know if there are LED lamps available for sale in India. There is so much of unused solar power in India. If government makes right plans and subsidizes solar power LED lighting, it will solve power crisis issue to a lot extent (yeah but they will lose commission!!)
This above piece is really fancy but we in India need to first answer the basic needs first.
I really enjoyed your posts over last 2 days. It will be of great news if you start writing about eco-friendly living in India as well..
