The month of June of 2007 will see the launch of Venturi Automobiles’ Eclectic vehicle. The three-seated vehicle has been designed for a stylish, urban dweller to make it the ‘world’s first’ commercially available autonomous vehicle.
It is no simple electric vehicle. This little, cute vehicle is a wonderful gift to the world of eco-friendly transportation. It is completely powered and recharged by renewable energy - like sunlight, wind.
It has a bevy of NiMH (NIV-7) liquid-cooled batteries that can be charged by 2.5 square meters of photovoltaic cells, located at the top of its roof. It can also get charged from a set of wind turbines been fitted to the vehicle when parked.
The white-colored model of the car will cost around €24,000 ($31,421) during its launch in June next year.
