This tad expensive ($2200.00) table has a solar top that tilts up so you can charge its built-in batteries. Made out of stainless steel and teak this evenly surfaced furniture requires very little maintenance and is moisture and weather resistant. The cells charge the battery even when it’s partially covered and the charged battery provides more than 4 hours of laptop use.
The table has a voltage meter which shows the voltage of the battery and the hour meter shows the hours the table has been on, and the electrical output is 12 volts DC, like a car and there is a regular wall outlet with the included inverter. All you people need to realize that in spite of being a small table this one attracts enough rays to power most of the house hold electrical gadgets and has outdone the regular furniture because of it’s immense features, hence this a vital necessity for your home!

Nithya, it looks like just another shape given to solar panel... No house gets sunlight all day so this needs to be kept exactly where you would place solar cells making it quite useless as furniture.
I admit its a bit weird to design a table with a solar panel. I mean it looses its function as a table because you cant keep too many things on it because it will block sunlight. But it was designed to be kept outdoors and i suppose would be useful at garden parties and the like.
I am missing something here... if its supposed to be kept outdoors, I would not want to keep my laptop, radio etc outside to be charged. Also wonder how I will charge water purifier (as mentioned in post) with this outdoor table..
Of course we can pull plugs and wires indoors but come on, I mean it won’t be a good idea to have wires lying around.... and as you rightly said, it looses its function as table too...Great effort by inventors but sorry, thumbs down !
The table can be used indoors, for e.g. you can keep the table near a window, or any other place where there is adequate sunlight and charge your phone, laptop etc. In case you want to sit in the lawn and watch something with your friends, even then it’s ideal as u can keep your tv on it and have a good time with your friends or by youself! It can be used as a regular table indoors and a charging station (both indoors and outdoors)So it’s not such a bad deal!
