An ardent ecologist would love to exchange wows with the love of his life under the most eco-friendly and sustainable roof like the Solar Wave Pavilion. Though it’s still a concept and may take a few years to materialize, this kinda sun fed, wavy pavilion provides a vast section to make the best of various alternative energies and storage systems. Ideal for the public gathering for the future green world, these solar powered structures will be equipped with various alternative energy gathering and storing facilities, which will empower them to generate, and store green power enough to feed the communities in which will be located.

Varying in size according to the needs of the society, this Solar Wave Pavilion is designed such as to be covered with flexible photovoltaic cells to some extent that in turn will convert sun light into electrical energy. Once absorbed, this energy can be used directly or sent into the conventional power grid, and/or stored in batteries.

This electrical energy can also be stored in the form of hydrogen gas, which could be manufactured from the rainwater that is captured off of the roof of the structure. The water that amasses can also feed the greenery around and utilized for other lay man uses.

Though it can be crafted out of various eco-materials, the designer, Michael Jantzen, has intended to use recycled steel for this specific concept at least. An emphasis is also placed on the use of preformed, monolithic components that require a minimum amount of secondary supports in order to achieve structural integrity.
Thanks: Michael Jantzen
