Tokyo’s cellphone accessory company Strapya World have just introduced ‘Zero’ – a line of cellphone cases, straps and cleaners made entirely from used tire tubes. This is yet another feather in the environmental cap of Japan, a country whose green image is shadowed by its industrial growth.

Each “Zero” product is unique in appearance since they are each individually hand crafted and come in a range 7 different colors which ensures there something for everyone. The case has an inside pocket for the phone and attaches with either a belt loop or a cool looking carabiner clip in polished chrome. And like all the tires they were made from they are completely water proof and tough, so you know your phone is in good hands.

Many of the products are still emblazoned with the names and logos of tire manufacturing companies, giving a brief window into their previous lives and how they continue to serve in their new avatar.
