With the increasing gas prices this summer, many are eyeing for the right fuel that will not only improve their cars’ mileage, but also maintain the pressure of the tyres longer. George Bourque of Fairfield has discovered pure nitrogen as the right fuel, which also resist heat buildup on hot summer days effectively.
Though pure nitrogen has been used in the tyres of race cars, large commercial trucks, aircraft and even the space shuttle for years, it is just recently finding its way into the mainstream at a growing number of tyre dealers. One of such dealer is Costco Wholesale Corp.
Though less than 10 percent of tyre dealers offer nitrogen, the number seems to be growing. Bob Ulrich, editor of Modern Tire Dealer magazine in Akron, Ohio informs that most of these dealers charge $2 to $5 per tyre for the nitrogen fill-up! Enjoy running your can on nitrogen tyres, on the hot summer days as the dealers are offering free lifetime refills.

More tips in the future for life-saving and car-saving purposes. I’ll try to do this one. And those tire dealers also need to contribute their share in this one, more production of nitrogen tires in the future. I’ll put this one in my Car Journal and hope it will add more soon.
