Ohio-based Myers Motors have showcased a fully redesigned NMG Sparrow electric vehicle that offers users a little more style in a zero-emission package. The initial vehicle was good as its performance was concerned, but its huge looks pulled things down as it thought more to be an eyesore than a green machine with great performance.

UK-based manufacturer Axon Automotive has unveiled a plug-in hybrid car at the 2009 Milton Keynes Science Festival. The yet unnamed vehicle is designed to be powered by a hybrid engine featuring a full electric mode for local travel and a gasoline or bioethanol fueled engine for long-distance commutes.

Designers Tiago Barros and Jorge Pereira have come up with a bridge design that will be used by bikers and pedestrians as a safe way to cross the road. Called Cross-Wind Bridge, the design will harvest wind energy from the movement of cars passing under it.

Eco Factor: Concept supercar designed to be powered by a supercharge-ion battery.

Edwin Conan (Yi Yuan), the auto designer who earlier thrilled us with the Green Speed air-powered motorcycle and the HSV Encore 2020, is back again with a futuristic vehicle aimed for the Audi brand. The concept vehicle, dubbed Avatar, is an all-electric supercar that is designed to be powered by a supercharge-ion battery.
